For the first time in nearly a century, “The Fort” has been renovated! Last year, Fort Myers Country Club underwent an extensive renovation to better serve the modern golfer, while honoring the concepts and complexity of Donald Ross’ original 1917 course design.
Everlast Lakewalls Behind the Scenes
As Golf Architect Steve Smyers implemented the improved course layout, marine contractor Kelly Bros. used Everlast products to install the water control structure that made the new water features and canals possible.
In the time lapse video provided by the City of Fort Myers, you’ll see the formation of the beautiful lake that serves as the focal point of the course:

Durable & Affordable Solutions for Water Features
By using Everlast Composite 47.5 Series, concrete caps, and a water control gate, Fort Myers Country Club built a foundation to enhance course aesthetics for decades to come. Composite sheet piling is an extremely versatile lakewall solution, as it can achieve very tall wall heights, requiring no special equipment and little upkeep.
