Nautilus Cove, a resort condominium community in Panama City, FL, needed a unique and attractive solution that would cut costs to keep the developers on budget. EverLast engineers were just the crew to ask!
The Challenge
To build a water feature for the residents, the developers needed a 6-foot retention pond as well as a flood wall. The expense of concrete made it problematic, and concrete also wouldn’t protect against seepage underneath the flood wall.
The Solution
Our engineers recommended the EverLast 8.5 Series Sheet Piling driven 16 feet into the earth. The 8.5 Series is 22 feet high, and it’s installed with a traditional vibratory hammer. Not only did our construction partners drive the sheet piling more quickly than they’d anticipated, but the savings on materials were substantial.
We saved the developers from purchasing and installing 1000 linear feet of heavy concrete 6 feet high, which effectively eliminated $250,000 off their bottom line!
Let us know the budget for your next project, and we will do everything we can to recommend the right materials to make it happen!
