ESP Announces New Sheet Pile Products to Increase Value, Enter New Markets

Evercomp 80.5 composite pileAt ESP, we’re always on the lookout for new ways to offer our clients more value and greater flexibility. That’s why we’re proud to announce the arrival of two of our newest products: EverComp 80.5 composite pile and ESP 5.5 vinyl sheet piling.

The industry-leading strength and value of EverComp 80.5 in particular has the potential to transform the seawall industry.

You Asked, We Listened, and Our Seawall Engineers Got to Work!

The most important part of the innovation process is listening closely to our customers in the field. We heard your calls for a stronger composite pile to take on bigger projects, and we made it with a lighter footprint at a lower cost. We’ve also heard your demands for even more flexibility in our vinyl product lineup. Our engineers are focused on reducing costs for our customers by offering more options.

In under a year, we went from gathering customer requests to manufacturing world-class, made-in-USA products ready for use all over the world.

Introducing EverComp 80.5 Composite Sheet Piling

EverComp 80.5 represents a major breakthrough in the high-wall project market, which up until now was served only by sheet metal piling purveyors.

That’s because many high-wall (typically 15’-20’) projects have strength requirements that force engineers to use light-gauge metal sheets. Though it is strong, metal sheet pile is heavy, difficult to handle, costly to ship, and requires a coating treatment to protect it from the elements, adding additional cost.

Our strongest ever EverComp 80.5 composite pile changes all that, providing engineers with an entirely new type of product, one which saves time and cost without sacrificing strength. Even better, EverComp 80.5 is lightweight, which saves on shipping costs. Where only 50 sheets of metal piling might fit on a truck, we can stack 150 sheets of EverComp 80.5 piling.

On top of that, our composite sheet piling products come protected by a marine-grade resin system that locks in thousands of interwoven rovings and mattings to produce sheet piling that can withstand the toughest conditions. That technology contributes to even greater cost savings over the metal alternative. If you think your project calls for metal sheet pile, it’s time to contact us.

Introducing ESP 5.5 Vinyl Sheet Piling

Our customers rely on our high-quality vinyl piling products for fast installation and long-lasting performance in even the harshest of marine environments. Our highest priority is providing our customers greater flexibility for cost savings.

By listening to our customers, we came to realize that there was a strength gap in our vinyl piling lineup, between 4.1 and 6.5. The 4.1 product has a strength rating of around 4,100 PSI, whereas 6.5 has a strength rating of 6,500 PSI.  In the field, the gap forced customers to go with an “overkill” 6.5 when 4.1 wasn’t enough.

By developing the new ESP 5.5 product, engineers can now more closely match the strength grade with the proper product, saving considerably on the project’s bottom line.

Customer-based Innovation

At the end of the day, ESP is committed to developing and bringing to market products that create value and flexibility in the field. We are proud of our customer-based innovation process, and invite you to let us know if you have needs that are currently unmet, or if you have ideas for future products.
