The residential marina in Shell Point, Florida had an existing wooden seawall that was damaged, deteriorating, and rotting into the water, leading to land erosion and limiting dock access.
Everlast Synthetic Products partnered with Fred Bradford, of Bradford Construction, to build a new seawall. ESP provided the materials and engineering expertise, and Bradford’s team broke ground and completed the project within three weeks time.
The exciting result—thanks to our patented materials including the wall cap—was one of the industry’s first all-synthetic seawalls, maximizing durability and minimizing cost.
Smart Synthetics
Everlast Synthetic Products offers many different products made from innovative materials, all to provide you with the ideal seawall to suit your needs.
This project in Shell Point, FL is a great example of a completely synthetic seawall. It features our 6.5 sheet piling, synthetic bulkhead, vinyl cap, and 4×6 fiber reinforced plastic piles. Seawalls built with ESP vinyl sheet piling are more cost efficient because they are UV resistant, unaffected by marine borers, and come with our industry-leading warranty. Our newly patented vinyl cap is a great addition to most any seawall. It is a low-cost, maintenance-free, and corrosion-resistant solution that is suitable for all marine environments.
Compared to older alternatives, our synthetic seawalls are easy to install, maintain, and have stood the test of time. This ultimately makes them cost-effective and an investment worth making. Read more here about our state of the art seawall products.
